Motion to approve Resolution No. 130-21 to award an Agreement to Aquifer Maintenance & Performance Systems, Inc., for the repair, maintenance and rehabilitation of wells in the estimated amount of $585,000 through July 30, 2022, utilizing the City of Palm Bay, Florida Solicitation No. 45-0-2017/ET.

 

Body

Background:

On July 31, 2017, the City of Palm Bay, Florida awarded solicitation No. #45-0-2017/ET to Aquifer Maintenance & Performance Systems, Inc. (AMPS) for the repair, maintenance and rehabilitation of wells. The initial term of the agreement was for twelve (12) months through July 30, 2018, with the option for (4) four additional (12) month period(s). On May 19, 2018, the City exercised the first renewal option effective July 31, 2018 through July 30, 2019. On May 15, 2019, the City exercised the second renewal option effective July 31, 2019 through July 30, 2020. On April 7, 2020, the City exercised the third renewal option effective July 31, 2020 through July 30, 2021. On March 31, 2021, the City exercised the fourth and final renewal option effective July 31, 2021 through July 30, 2022.

 

The City of Delray Beach Utilities Department has ongoing rehabilitation program on its  raw water production wells to improve operational efficiencies. Also provides maintenance services such as routine disinfection and monitoring.
