Motion to approve Ordinance No. 33-21 amending the qualifying period for the general election to accommodate statutory vote-by-mail requirements.
Body
Background:
To accommodate statutory vote-by-mail requirements, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections strongly recommends that municipalities amend their qualifying period so that it ends on or before the 95th day before Election Day. The qualifying period for future elections will be the first 14 business days in November, opening no earlier than noon on the first business day and closing no later than noon on the fourteenth business day.
