Background:
The City received a federally funded grant from the Transportation Planning Agency of Palm Beach County (TPA) to construct pedestrian and bicycle accommodations on George Bush Boulevard from NW 2nd Avenue to SR-A1A. In conjunction with these improvements, deteriorated portions of the road will be reconstructed or milled and resurfaced and drainage will be improved. By agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), they agreed to manage the design and construction of the project. Construction started in July 2021 and is scheduled for completion by February 2022.
