RESOLUTION NO. 174-21 OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY CHILD CARE CENTER OF DELRAY BEACH, INC., D/B/A ACHIEVEMENT CENTERS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES (“ACCF”) TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO SUPPORT OUT OF SCHOOL SERVICES AT PINE GROVE ELEMENTARY AND VILLAGE ACADEMY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AMENDMENTS AND/OR RENEWALS THERETO AND TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS AGREEMENT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Motion to approve Resolution No. 174-21 and Funding Agreement with the Community Child Care Center (d.b.a Achievement Center for Children and Families) ("ACCF") for the amount of $62,000 per year for five (5) years.
Body
Background:
Simultaneous with this Funding Agreement, the City has approved a Tripartite Agreement between the School Board of Palm Beach County and ACCF to provide for the funding of and operation of programs at Pine Grove Elementary and Village Academy. The funding in the amount of $62,000 per year for services and programs provided by ACCF, are in accordance with the Tripartite Agreement. Such services include: homework assistance, educational enhancements, healthy snacks and meals, clubs and activities, etc. The Funding Agreement will be effective until September 30, 2026.
City Attorney Review:
Approved as to form and legal sufficiency.
Funding Source/Financial Impact:
The allocation of $62,000 for FY 2022 is from Account # 001-90-810-562.82-15.
Timing of Request:
This agreement is tied to the Triparty agreement and should be approved at the same time.
