Body

Background:

The City of Delray Beach received the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) 2021 Sustainable Practices Recognition Award for our investment in pervious pavement in the Osceola Park and SW 4th St, SW 6th St, SW 7th Ave and SW 3rd Ct Neighborhood Improvement Projects.  This award is presented annually to an organization that demonstrates leadership by implementing sustainable and resilient design and construction practices that consider societal, environmental, and economic factors.  The award specifically recognizes our efforts to invest in pervious pavements for the City of Delray Beach neighborhood residents, reducing localized flooding events as well as helping with water quality.

The award was presented at ACPA’s Distinguished Service Awards luncheon on Thursday, December 2, 2021 as part of their 58th Annual Meeting in Huntington Beach, CA.
