Title

REINSTATEMENT AND FIRST AMENDMENT TO SITE DEVELOPMENT FUNDING AGREEMENT - GLAVIDIA HAIR STUDIOS

Body

Recommended Action:

Recommendation

Reinstate, amend, and approve the existing Site Development funding assistance agreement for Glavidia Hair Studios for the proposed interior and exterior improvements project at 119 NE 2nd Avenue, within CRA sub-area #2.

Body

Background:

At the February 23rd, 2021, CRA Board Meeting, the CRA Board approved a Site Development funding award to Glavidia Hair Studios located at 119 NE 2nd Avenue within sub-area #5.
Glavidia Hair Studio is a full-service boutique salon owned and operated by master stylist and designer, Glavidia Alexis and has been in operation while improvements are taking place at the location.

To date, Glavidia Hair Studios has completed cabinetry and storage, electrical work, exterior signage, plumbing updates, bathroom updates and has placed orders for additional materials needed to complete interior improvements. Glavidia is requesting an extension due to back ordered materials like tile, issues with the air conditioning unit that require further inspection and delayed installation of additional lighting at the salon.

Staff is requesting that the terms of the funding agreement be amended to extend the termination date from March 11, 2022, to September 30, 2022.
