Approve a Project Consultancy & Design Services Funding Agreement (Level 2 Design Services) with ROMAU, LLC for the proposed improvement project at 103 NW 5th Avenue, for an amount not to exceed $15,000.

Background:
ROMAU, LLC, owned by Mr. Michael Hockton (Owner), is requesting funding assistance under the Project Consultancy & Design Services Program for an improvement project at 103 NW 5th Avenue, within CRA sub-area #3 (within the West Settlers Historic District and along the historic Northwest 5th avenue corridor), for an amount not to exceed $15,000.
Funding assistance is requested to design the expansion of the existing one-story building, which would include the construction of an additional level to add retail and office space and multi-family dwellings. ROMAU, LLC intends to promote the newly designed space as a live-work development close to Downtown Delray Beach. If awarded, the completed conceptual designs and plans produced under the Project Consultancy & Design Services Program will be used so that ROMAU, LLC can apply for the Site Development Assistance Funding Program to help with the actual construction and improvement costs.
A funding assistance award to ROMAU, LLC will help further the CRA’s mission by supporting the design of proposed improvements and renovation of a mixed-use commercial improvement project within the CRA District. This project will help further economic development efforts by supporting the expansion of an existing business and encouraging job creation.
