PRESENTATION: FOLLOW UP REGARDING PROPOSED FEE STRUCTURE ADJUSTMENT AT THE DELRAY BEACH MARINA LOCATED IN THE HISTORIC MARINA DISTRICT

Recommendation
Motion to review and advise on the proposed fee structure adjustment at the Delray Beach Marina.
Body
Background:
In April of 2021, the Delray Beach Marina re-opened after a years long renovation. Due to the historic and economic significance, the upgrades had to preserve the site, address the rising sea-level challenges, and create an amenity for everyone to enjoy.
The new marina includes:
* Twenty-four (24) floating docs
* Individual pump out stations which are accessible to the boating public
* New pilings
* Remodeled building with all new appliances
* WiFi
* New landscaping in the public green space.
The pricing structure has not changed since 2016 and to be competitive with comparable sites, a rate change is in order.
On February 11, 2022 Parks and Recreation presented the City Commission a new pricing schedule. The City Commission requested changes and a new presentation with amended pricing. Please see table for current fee schedule and revenue to date in addition to the proposed fee schedule and revenue projections. Currently the slips are designated as follows: Eighteen (18) monthly rentals, four (4) transients, one (1) non floating dock, and one (1) for the dockmaster.
In the proposed pricing, we would maintain the same allotment of slips for monthly and transient boaters.
In the proposed pricing, of the twenty-four (24) slips we would like them designated as follows: Eighteen (18) monthly, four (4) transients, one (1) non-floating dock to be used upon eligibility, and one (1) dock for the dock master.
