Motion to approve a contract increase in the amount of $303,029 to remove and replace the playground and shade structure at Leon M. Weekes Environmental Preserve in addition to purchasing ten (10) recycling receptacles for several access points along the municipal beach.

Background:
On February 9, 2021, the City entered into a Master Contractor/Services Agreement in the amount of $179,000 to purchase various equipment and amenities for parks and playgrounds based on the same terms, conditions, and pricing provided under Solicitation No. 18/19-2 with Clay County.

Parks and Recreation has requested four (4) contract amount increases for REP Services for the following amounts and projects:

Jul 13, 2021 $400,000 Barwick Park Phase I
Dec 17, 2021 $100,170 Barwick Park Shade Structure
Mar 01, 2022 $ 9,383 Barwick Park Concrete Curbing - Under the authority of the CIty Manager
Sep 02, 2022 $ 44,490 Additional Improvements at various City parks (replacement benches, picnic tables, etc.) - Under the authority of the City Manager

The additional funds we are requesting will be allocated as follows:

1. Recycling receptacles to be placed along access points at the municipal beach to comply with Blue Flag Certification requirements in the amount of $28,439
2. New playground and shelter at Leon M. Weekes Environmental Preserve in the amount of $245,590
