Title
APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 12-23 APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH MUSCO SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC., FOR EQUIPMENT FOR PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS, UTILIZING A CLAY COUNTY, FLORIDA SOLICITATION NO. 18/19-2 - $289,900.

Body
Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to Approve Resolution No. 12-23 to award an Agreement to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC. for equipment for parks and playgrounds in the estimated amount of $289,900, utilizing the Clay County, Florida Solicitation No. 18/19-2; and authorize the City Manager to exercise renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Body
Background:
On May 28, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida issued a three (3) year contract with two (2) one year renewals with Musco Sports Lighting, LLC. The agreement expires on May 27, 2023 and has an additional one-year renewal.

The lighting at the Delray Beach Tennis Center has exceeded its useful life and is in need of replacement. The ballasts are old and can burn out at any time which would create new challenges with the Delray Beach Open approaching. Per the original agreement with Match Point Inc., the City must provide lighting at a specific foot candle illumination for televised broadcasting and according to ATP standards for professional play.

This motion is in accordance with the Code of Ordinances Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and Purchasing Policies, Accessing Contracts from Other Government Agencies and Not-for-Profit Organizations.
