ISSUE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS CRA NO. 2023-05 - ARCHITECT SERVICES AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT SERVICES ON A CONTINUING CONTRACT BASIS

Recommended Action:
Approve the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) for Architect Services and Landscape Architect Services on continuing contract basis.
Background:
An RFQ for Architect Services and Landscape Architect Services was issued by the CRA in May 2018 and the continuing contracts for those services will be expiring at the end of this fiscal year. Therefore, CRA staff is recommending the issuance of a new RFQ at this time.
The purpose of issuing the RFQ for Architect Services and Landscape Architect Services is to solicit qualified professional architectural and landscape architectural firms and consultants to provide design and construction administration services on a continuing contract basis for various CRA-managed projects.
Pursuant to Florida Statute Section 287.055 (Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act), continuing contracts for professional architectural and landscape architectural services may be utilized by a public agency for projects where the total construction cost for an individual project does not exceed $4 million, for study activities where the fee for an individual study does not exceed $500,000, or “for a work of a specified nature as outlined in the contract…with the contract being for a fixed term or with no time limitation except that the contract must provide a termination clause.”
The intent of the CRA is to release the RFQ on Monday, August 21, 2023, and have the Submittal Due Date be Thursday, October 5, 2023. The full RFQ will be available August 21, 2023, to view online on the CRA’s website, www.delraycra.com
