Discussion concerning the creation an advisory committee for the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.

Background:
Pursuant to the consensus of the CRA Board at the June 1, 2023 CRA Board Meeting, this agenda item seeks to provide information concerning the creation of an advisory committee for the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, including certain regulations to govern membership and duties.
CRA Staff has researched the best practices for advisory committees, studied other CRA advisory committees, and spoke to other CRA Staff throughout Florida regarding this matter. CRA Staff will present suggestions for the Board’s consideration and input.
Subject to the Board’s input on this matter, CRA Staff can prepare a resolution regarding the creation of an advisory committee consideration by the CRA Board at a future Board Meeting.
