Provide direction to CRA Staff as it relates to the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Redevelopment Advisory Committee.

Background:
On August 22, 2023, the CRA Board approved Resolution 2023-03 creating the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Redevelopment Advisory Committee (RAC) including certain regulations to govern the RAC’s membership and duties.
The application period was available from September 1, 2023 - October 31, 2023 totaling sixty days. During this period, the Community Redevelopment Agency received 15 applications; of which 8 may be considered based on the application criteria and the information that was submitted.
Below is the initial implementation timeline and a suggested updated timeline to potentially allow for additional applications to submit applications.
Initial Timeline:
September 1, 2023 - October 31, 2023 (60 days) RAC Appointment Application Open
October 19, 2023 Pre-Submission Meeting Held by CRA Staff for RAC Appointment Application
November 16, 2023 CRA Board Meeting CRA Board Appointment of RAC Members and CRA Board Approval of RAC Meetings Dates
January 2024 (TENTATIVE) RAC’s First Meeting

November 17, 2023 - January 16, 2024 (60 days) RAC Appointment Application Re-Open
December 4, 2023 CRA Social Second Pre-Submission Meeting Held by Staff for RAC Appointment Application
February 27, 2024 CRA Board Meeting CRA Board Appointment of RAC Members and CRA Board Approval of RAC Meetings Dates
Staff is seeking direction from Board regarding re-opening the RAC application process based on the schedule above.
