Motion to Approve lease renewal for Pineapple Grove Center for the Employee Health and Wellness Center.

 

Body

Background:

Our current lease amendment for the city’s Employee Health and Wellness Center is set to expire at the end of the month, February 29, 2024. Construction work is underway at the Train Depot to move the Employee Health and Wellness Center upon completion which was projected to be completed in November 2023. Due to construction delays, the city has requested to extend our current lease for an additional 3 months, with the option to terminate with 45-days written notice to lessor.

 

The item before the Commission is to approve the lease agreement between the City of Delray Beach and Pineapple Grove Holdings, LLC for the continued occupancy of the medical facility located at 525 NE 3rd Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida. The Code of Ordinance, Chapter 36 only applies to the acquisition of goods and or services.
