APPROVAL OF THE NON-IMPACT EVENT KNOWN AS "SOFLO SUMMER SHOOTOUT" TO BE HELD ON JUNE 8-9, 2024 AT SEACREST SOCCER COMPLEX AND HILLTOPPER STADIUM; AND TO AUTHORIZE THE SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT.

Recommended Action:
Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as SoFlo Summer Shootout to be held on June 8-9, 2024 at Seacrest Soccer Complex and Hilltopper Stadium; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

Background:
Snipers Lacrosse submitted a Special Event Permit Application on December 6, 2024. This Lacrosse tournament will take place over two days and will bring in teams from all over Florida. Snipers Lacrosse has held this event for the last five years. It was last held in June of 2023. The game times will be staggered to allow time for the parking to clear in between. There will be attendants working to direct traffic in the parking lots and surrounding areas to keep the traffic flowing. Parking will also be available at the pool complex after 12pm on Saturday and all day Sunday.

Anticipated city costs to the event producer to be determined.
