Recommended Action:

Special Events Technical Advisory Committee (SETAC) recommends the Development Services Management Group (DSMG) make a motion to approve the special event known as Resurrection on the Lawn to be held on March 31, 2024; and authorize the Special Event Manager (SEM) to take all actions necessary to effectuate the Special Event Permit.

 

Body

Background:

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church submitted a Special Event Permit Application on February 9, 2024. The church is seeking to hold an Easter service and celebration with children's activities, games and an egg hunt.  The church has held this event for 4 years prior with the last one held in 2023. The anticipated attendance is 75-100 people.  There will be some tents and chairs available for people to sit for the service.

 

Special Event Advisory Committee (SETAC)

SETAC recommends DSMG approve the event.

No special conditions are recommended by SETAC

 

Funding Source/Financial Impact:

Anticipated city costs to the event producer to be determined.

 

Timing of Request:

The event is quickly approaching.
