Motion to approve the Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement (MOU) between the CIty of Delray Beach (CDB) and the School Board of Palm Beach County (SB) for the Seamless Summer Option Program (Program) which provides well-balanced meals  free of charge to all children 18 years of age or younger, who wish to participate in the program.

 

Body

Background:

The intent of the program is to serve nutritionally well-balanced meals and snacks that meet the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines for the National School Lunch Program free of charge to all children in attendance contingent upon the School Board (SB) receiving funding for the program awarded by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service. The meals will be provided Monday-Friday, except during national holidays and on dates agreed upon annually. All meals and snacks must be consumed onsite and available to all children, 18 years of age or younger, who wish to participate in the program. The term of this MOU will be from June 3, 2024 through August 31, 2026.
