Motion to approve Resolution No. 204-24 to award an agreement with East Coast Mulch Corp for Blown Mulch and Install Services for the Parks and Recreation Department pursuant to Invitation to Bid 2024-050 in the not-to-exceed amount of $187,500.00 and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options in the amounts below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:
On August 22, 2024, the CIty of Delray Beach advertised Invitation to Bid 2024-050 for Blown Mulch and Install Services for the Parks and Recreation Department. Four (4) vendors submitted proposals and East Coast Mulch Corp. was the lowest, responsible vendor.
The agreement is for three (3) years with the option to renew for an additional two (2) one year periods.
Parks and Recreation has an ongoing need to replace mulch at our parks and medians throughout the City in addition to several playgrounds to prevent potential safety hazards due to unsafe levels near impact zones.
