Motion to proclaim July 6, 2021 as Next Generation Initiatives Day in the City of Delray Beach.

Background:
This proclamation declares the first Tuesday in July as Next Generation Initiatives Day in the City of Delray Beach, Florida. We urge all residents, schools, businesses and community organizations to join us in recognizing the value and the need for developing the talent pipeline within the City of Delray Beach.
The Next Generation Initiative helps young men and women gain experience and skills to begin and further their careers. Mentoring, internships and other leadership programs introduce students and young professionals to entrepreneurs, department managers and public officials in a wide range of fields.
The Next Generation Initiatives have the potential to reach thousands of young leaders in the City and connect them with community leaders and experts who share their wisdom and experience and work with them to prepare them for their future roles.
