Motion to approve Resolution No. 23-18 to award an agreement with CityTech Construction, Inc. for the City of Delray Beach sidewalk project in a total amount not-to-exceed $330,012.

Background:
The Purchasing Department issued ITBC No. 2017-071 for sidewalk construction in various high pedestrian-traffic areas throughout the City. This project includes constructing sidewalks on both sides of the street, as well as near schools, churches, and parks along the following streets in the southwest and northwest neighborhoods that reside west of Swinton Avenue:
· SW 3rd Street - from I-95 to SW 3rd Avenue
· NW 8th Avenue - from Atlantic Avenue to NW 2nd Street
· NW 6th Avenue - from NW 3rd Street to NW 2nd Street
· SW 6th Avenue - from SW 2nd Street to SW 3rd Street
· SW 5th Avenue - from SW 2nd Street to SW 3rd Street
Bids were received from CityTech Construction, Coat Concrete Construction, Continental Construction USA, Providian Construction Group, and West Construction. The cost submitted by CityTech Construction is for a total project amount not-to-exceed $330,011.41 and is recommended for award as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. In accordance with the Interlocal Agreement for 2017-2018 between the City and the City of Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the CRA will reimburse the City for this project.
This motion is in accordance with Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, Commission Approval Required and the City’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures Manual, Purchases Greater Than or Equal to $65,000.
