Background:

On September 22, 2020, a representative from Pulte Homes sent an email and letter to the CRA Board Members stating that they are interested in working with the City of Delray Beach to develop a property owned by Palm Beach County School Board - the former Plumosa Elementary School - 1712 NE 2nd Avenue (“Property”) for more affordable housing options in Delray Beach.

At the August 29, 2020 CRA Board Meeting, the Board Members supported adding this letter as discussion item on a CRA agenda.  Currently, the letter is before the Board for discussion and to provide Staff with direction on how the Board wishes to proceed.

Please note that the letter referenced Carver Square, however, there is a Request for Proposals outstanding concerning this project and a Cone of Silence is in effect.  Therefore, any discussions regarding this letter must be limited to former Plumosa Elementary School only.
