Approve the Temporary Use Agreement between the CRA and Emanuel Jackson, Sr. Project, Inc. for the use of the CRA-owned properties located at 606 and 640 W. Atlantic Avenue.

EJS Project, Inc., a CRA tenant at 700 W. Atlantic Avenue, has submitted a request to utilize the CRA-owned parking lot at 606 W. Atlantic Avenue and the CRA-owned vacant parcel at 640 W. Atlantic Avenue, to support the 2nd Annual EJS Project Block Party on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 

This year’s celebration will include food, vendors, music and youth and family games.   Public hours for the celebration are 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with the additional use hours for event set-up and tear-down.

To allow the utilization of the CRA-owned properties and parcels for event operations, activities and overflow parking for the 2nd Annual EJS Project Block Party special event, a Temporary Use Agreement is required. The attached agreement includes provisions concerning the containment of any trash or debris, repairs and maintenance of the premises, length of term, indemnification and insurance. If approved, EJS Project, Inc. will submit a Special Events permit application to the City for approval.
