RATIFICATION OF THIRD AMENDMENT OF PURCHASE & RELOCATION AGREEMENT - 215 NE 7TH AVE

Recommendation

Ratify the execution of the Third Amendment to the Purchase and Relocation Agreement between the CRA and Azure 215 NE 7th, LLC, for the relocation of the historic house currently located at 215 NE 7th Avenue.

 

Body

Background:

The CRA Board approved a Purchase and Relocation agreement with Azure 215 NE 7th LLC on June 11, 2019 to relocate a 1939 historic structure located at 215 NE 7th Avenue designed by Samuel Ogren to the CRA office property located at 20 N. Swinton Avenue. The Historic Home Relocation was approved by the Historic Preservation Board on July 3, 2019.

 

The CRA Board approved a First Amendment to extend the Purchase and Relocation Agreement on August 13, 2019. The Amendment extended the closing date to on or before September 14, 2019 and the House Removal and Relocation to on or before September 30, 2019.

 

The CRA Board approved a Second Amendment to extend the Purchase and Relocation Agreement on September 10, 2019. The Amendment extended the closing date to on or before October 7, 2019 and the House Removal and Relocation to on or before October 15, 2019.

 

Due to additional utility coordination for the house relocation, as well as, on and off-site preparation at the CRA office property, the Purchaser and Seller have agreed to a Third Amendment to extend the date of the closing and House Removal and Relocation.

 

The historic structure is scheduled to be relocated on Sunday November 17, 2019. All utility companies have confirmed the relocation date and the underground utilities have been relocated at the CRA property, 20 N. Swinton Avenue, to allow for the placement of the historic home.
