Motion to approve Resolution No. 210-19 to award an agreement with Hinterland for lift station and manhole rehabilitation utilizing Indian River County solicitation No. 2019047, in the amount of $1,260,000, and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options, in the amounts listed below, contingent upon appropriation of funds.

Background:
The Utilities Department is requesting approval for a contract award with Hinterland Group, Inc. (Hinterland) to annually rehabilitate approximately four to five city sewage lift stations and approximately ten to twelve deteriorating manholes, utilizing the Indian River Solicitation No, 2019047.

Each year, to ensure sewage lift stations and manholes are operating efficiently as well as prevent breakdowns, the Utilities Department programs within the Capital Improvement Plan the need to annually rehabilitate four to five lift stations and approximately a dozen sanitary sewer gravity manholes. Evaluations of lift stations and manholes are conducted on an ongoing basis, with ones exhibiting the lowest rating identified for rehabilitation.

Hinterland will perform services utilizing the unit pricing under their contract with Indian River County, effective June 4, 2019, for a term of three (3) years, through June 3, 2022, which may be extended for one additional two (2) year renewal to June 3, 2024.
