Background:
On August 25, 2020, the CRA Board approved a Revocable License and Facility Use Agreement with ChenMed, LLC, (ChenMed), who currently operates the Delray Senior Resource Center (Center), located at 708 West Atlantic Avenue, and holds weekly events at the Center.

Since the Center has been operational, ChenMed has partnered with Compass Health, Inc. (Compass) to host a number of events. Currently, Compass leads the following events at the Center under ChenMed’s Revocable License and Facility Use Agreement: Medicare & Medicaid Assistance, Pre-Paid Cremation, Sickle Cell, Senior Mental Health & Senior Tech Talks.

Compass, a Florida based corporation headquartered in Tequesta, is a health insurance brokerage that has 12 retail locations located throughout Florida. The nearest retail location is in Boynton Beach.

Representatives from Compass reached out to CRA Staff with an interest in continuing to hold events at the Center independently from ChenMed. Compass is requesting to have a separate Revocable License and Facility Use Agreement to use the Center.

Tentatively, Compass has provided an initial plan to hold recurring weekly events on Wednesdays. The events will continue to focus on Medicare and Medicaid Assistance, Health Insurance as it relates to the American Rescue Plan, and other health related topics.
