Provide direction regarding continuing or sun-setting COVID-19 Temporary Measures.
Body
Background:
The purpose of this item is to obtain direction regarding continuing, sun-setting, and/or changing the temporary measures the City of Delray Beach has taken in response to COVID-19 impacts. Currently, all businesses are open without expressed capacity limitations. The following measures are currently in place and set to end on September 30, 2021:
1. Temporary Outdoor Use Areas, including both private property and public right-of-way.
2. Outside use for Stand Alone Bars.
3. Suspended Special Events hosted by outside promoters.
4. Relaxed sign code enforcement.
The City received and approved a request for a new Temporary Outdoor Use Area permit for a restaurant during the last week of August 2021.
The DDA has submitted a memo (attached) providing a summary of the actions that have been taken throughout the past 18 months and recommended actions.
