Background:
The City Manager’s Department is requesting a budget amendment in the Special Projects Fund (Fund #115) for the Public Art Fund for a Community Mural Project surrounding the Community Grove at Catherine Strong Park.

On March 8, 2019, the City of Delray Beach (City) and Anthony Hernandez/Lola International Inc. (Artist) entered into an agreement for a Community Mural Project surrounding the Community Grove at Catherine Strong Park in the amount of $25,000. The Artist completed the project on August 27, 2021 and has provided the City a final invoice in the amount of $20,000.

Therefore, to pay the Artist the second installment of $20,000, Staff is requesting a budget amendment from fund balance in the Public Art Fund in the amount of $20,000.

Additionally, at the City Commission Meeting on September 13, 2021, the City Commission authorized the purchase “Shy Dancer” from Mr. Jeff Wyman in the amount of $5000. The funds are available in the Public Art Fund Fund Balance. Th...
