Recommended Action:
Recommendation
Motion to approve Resolution 79-22 to award an Agreement with Hinterland Group, Inc., for sanitary sewer rehabilitation, in the estimated amount of $1,140,000 (approximately $380,000 per year) through June 6, 2025, utilizing the Palm Beach County WUD Project No. 21-060; and authorize the City Manager to approve renewal options, in the amounts below, contingent upon the appropriation of funds.

Body
Background:
On January 4, 2022, Palm Beach County served as the “lead agency” published WUD Project No. 21-060 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation. The initial term of the agreement is for three (3) years from June 7, 2022, through June 6, 2025, and any additional time is needed to complete the issued Work Authorization. The Utilities Department programs the use of providing sanitary sewer rehabilitation services related to sanitary sewer pipes. This yearly maintenance program allows the cured-in-place pipe lining method of sectional liners as means of extending the useful life of pipes. In addition, the agreement has a provision for performing excavated sewer repairs, cleanout installations, manhole rehabilitation, lateral reinstatement, and bypass pumping.

Estimated Contract Value
Initial (3-year term) August 9, 2022 - June 6, 2025, $1,140,000
Estimate Total $1,140,000

The acquisition of service is in compliance with the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 36, and City Policies and Procedures.
