Approval of an Agreement with Rep Services, Inc. to provide services for the materials and labor to install new playground equipment at the Rev. J.W.H. Thomas Jr. Park located at 46 SW 5th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444, piggybacking the terms of the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Agreement with the Clay County Interlocal Agreement, in substantially the attached form.

Background:
On August 31, 2021, the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Board (CRA Board) supported the installation of a new playground equipment at Rev. J.W.H Thomas Jr. Park based on a proposal, provided by a playground equipment company, Rep Services, Inc.
The City of Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department piggybacks off Clay County’s Contract with Rep Services, Inc. and utilizes their services throughout the City. The Clay County Contract is based off of Clay County RFP No. 18/19-2 Various Equipment and Amenities for Parks and Playgrounds. The CRA is requesting the approval to piggyback the terms of the Clay County’s Contract with Rep Services, Inc. As such, piggybacking the terms of the Clay County’s Contract with Rep Services, Inc. not only provides the CRA necessary various equipment and amenities for parks and playgrounds, but it also provides the CRA with the most efficient means of obtaining said services.
Pursuant to Section 255.05(1)(d), Florida Statute, at the discretion of the government entity, contracts for less than $200,000 are exempted from executing a performance bond and payment bond.
